Blue OTP messages

Blue OTP messages are texts exchanged between the characters, and one of the main sources of the story. They're encrypted using XORFS, the Emtanon one-time pad system based on XOR.

Format

The characters view these messages using a terminal. We, however, may find them only on AS32 under the agent codes 18xxx. On each of these agent codes, a text-to-speech voice says:

  1. “Blue OTP 1 file start”
  2. A series of decimal numbers ranging from 0 to 255 inclusive; these are the encrypted bytes
  3. “Offset” followed by the byte position of the key block used for encryption

“Blue OTP 1” is the file otp-blue-1.bin (1 GB). We obtained a copy of it in the El Paso drop.
