The books are real-life objects used to distribute messages, one-time pads and other data. They are usually placed as dead drops or ordered and sent by postal mail.

The books often have humorous or nonsensical titles, covers inspired by mid-century modern design language, and contain various in-jokes or quips toward the counter-operation in their text.

The covers and titles have appeared on the Exciting Books accounts on Tumblr and Twitter. These have been collated here.

This book is used to provide WORM agents with one-time pads to decode daily messages found on AS32. A new edition is distributed to agents each year, containing specific pads for each day of the year.

The book is structured into three sections:

• Finger of Fate, ID: Decodes messages on agent code 301.
• Winston, NM: Decodes messages on agent code 302.
• Devils Twist, UT: Decodes messages on agent code 303.

Additionally, the book contains a short preamble, and a page for notes.

As of January 2024, we have acquired two copies of the book.
