OTP22 features dozens of characters, many known only by their initials. These are some of the more prominent personalities.

J is a British man who is the founder and boss of Emtanon, Marine Org, and WORM. He's a wealthy narcissistic asshole whose backstory is shrouded in mystery. J is comically unfamiliar with modern technology, such as Viagra and the Internet.

Felicity (born 1997) is a US citizen from Ocracoke, North Carolina. She was one of the interns hired for the Gough Island weather station.

Very soon into her internship, Felicity started suspecting that the weather station is in fact a front for criminal activities. On the island, she spent a lot of time with Jeff, who discussed Emtanon with her. After his disappearance, Felicity started receiving anonymous tips on how to leave the island. Following these instructions, she escaped to Brazil aboard a Doritos delivery ship, barely a month into her 6-month assignment.

In Brazil, Felicity was left on her own with a large amount of cash. She took a flight back to the US, which Emtanon discovered via their contacts at airlines. They eventually dispatched the Marine Org mercenaries to catch her. We established contact with Felicity through Instagram, and started messaging her about their movements. To this day, she hasn't been caught, and the multi-month manhunt was eventually called off after a lack of leads.

Jeff is a US citizen from Riverside, Iowa. He was an undercover Emtanon employee during 2019–2023.

His first job at Emtanon was placing Dead drops. While placing drops intended for WORM agents, he also left several for us in nearby locations, containing aiding information on disrupting WORM.

In 2023, Jeff was sent to Gough Island to covertly oversee the recently hired interns. During this time, he developed a close relationship with Felicity. He warned her about Emtanon's ulterior motives before he disappeared. It was likely Jeff who then arranged Felicity's escape, and sent spooky warnings to Esprit's terminal to leave Felicity alone.

In August 2023, after Jeff was identified as a troublemaker, Desiree tried to kill him by sending him alone on a boat to do a dangerous repair. She made sure his radio's batteries run out shortly after departure, leaving him to die by either starving or falling. Unbeknownst to her, Jeff had a ride arranged to pick him up, which was announced in messages that were readable to us, but not on the Emtanon terminals.

Jeff's whereabouts since then are unknown. In September 2023, he upgraded the previously full Felicity's voicemail to unlimited storage, and has since used it to send us messages. In October 2023, Jeff remotely destroyed Goughcom using electronics planted during his stay at Gough; however, it disrupted operations only for about ten days.

In January 2024, Jeff tipped off the FWC about Marine Org's presence in Marathon, Florida, who had been there for a failed operation intended to kidnap Felicity. This led to their vessel WHISPER being confiscated by the US Coast Guard.

Maria is an Emtanon computer security expert. We first learned of her in July 2023, when she put together and placed the El Paso drop. One of her selfies in this drop had OTP22 catchphrases hidden in it, making her stance towards us ambiguous.

In September 2023, Maria was at the Emtanon HQ to fill in for Esprit in her absence. During this time, she was a target of social engineering by unknown hackers, leaking data files and nearly destroying an agent system. Afterwards, she was sent to Hawaii to track Felicity after she had flown there. While in Hawaii, Maria was more interested in the local food and activities than her mission. It remains to be seen whether she's an idiot or doing this on purpose.

On October 20 2023, a chat between Esprit and Desiree revealed that Maria has been promoted to be in charge of the Pacific agent command, and will be based in Hilo, Hawaii. Since arriving there in late November, she's allocated most of her time to “beach days”, shopping, and swiping on Tinder. At one point, she used AIR1 as her private jet to impress a Tinder date.

In January 2024, due to her knowledge of the Spanish language, Maria was chosen to lead a mission in Lima, Peru. Due to a map “decoding glitch”, she led her agents to a dangerous district of Lima, where they were taken hostage by a street gang. Maria was the only one to escape, after which she was transported to the HQ for debriefing.

On January 26 2024, Maria was dismissed from the Pacific command, and reassigned to Gough Island. As a punishment, she's been barred from computer access, and made to decipher XOR messages by hand. She remained there until March 1st, when she was called back to the HQ.

Desiree is the Senior Project Manager at Emtanon. She's currently based on Gough Island where she's in charge of the weather station. Desiree is the main source of news from Gough, mostly via her chats with Esprit. She copes with isolation on the island by drinking wine.

Esprit works at the Emtanon HQ where she owns the green terminal. She's best known for chatting with the Felicity hunters and with Desiree. According to herself, Esprit also does 400,000 other things at the HQ. She is deeply devoted to her employer, and shows no sympathy towards us.

Robby is an employee of the Emtanon ITOPS team. He's currently based in Liberty, Kentucky where he's in charge of AS32. Robby is J's number one contact when Emtanon systems are malfunctioning, and for other technical requests. Within Emtanon, he considers himself a fly on the wall, and in the past had regularly leaked information to us. Robby is a member of our Discord server.
