This is an old revision of the document!
The Flare Pepper Kitchen is an agent system available on the phone number +1-(216)-677-0004.
The system presents a simple interface to make orders in a restaurant and check their status. Exploring other DTMF inputs led us to discover a hidden system that allows to share data packets.
1
: Allows to place an order via a voicemail-like interface. Upon completing an order and pressing #
, provides an order number that can be entered in 2
.2
: Allows to check the status of an order. Initially responds with a message that order is being prepared. All orders are subsequently cancelled for increasingly absurd reasons. See order list below.3
: Responds with “How many peppers would you like in any given moment in time?” and waits for input. This setting allows to change the baud rate of the file sharing portion of the system. As a courtesy to other players, please let us know if you intend to change this setting.4
: Responds with “How large of a pepper do you want?” and waits for input. This setting allows to change the packet size (in kB) of the file-sharing system. As a courtesy to other players, please let us know if you intend to change this setting.7
: Responds with “There are no specials today, sorry.”8
: Prompts for a “file decriptor”. After entering a valid number (e.g. 0
) asks for a packet number:0
: Packet 0 will respond with a brief Bell103 containing basic information about the stored file, like filename, md5 hash, and number of data packets.1, 2, …
: Will respond with Bell103 containing the actual data packets. The data from all packets, when concatenated, will form a file, usually gzipped. Someone more technical than me can fill in the details on how the packets are encoded.9
: Bell103: /DATA_PACKET_START//
