The story is advanced primarily through written messages attributed to characters. The main ongoing series are:

• XORFS: Long-form text exchanges. Those are obtained by dialing the next number in sequence on AS32. At present, it is not possible for players to write there.
• Iris: Short-form instant messaging. Those appear in real time on Terminals. Players with Emtanon portal access may exchange their own messages with the universe.
• Slate: Very short-form messages, broadcast for 24 hours at a time on AS32.
• AS27: Organization announcements, broadcast for 24 hours at a time on a dedicated phone number.
