This is an old revision of the document!
The story is centered on organizations owned by Dr. Jay Marvin Blackweather.
The World Organization for the Reform of Metorology [sic] is a mysterious organization fronted by the corporation Emtanon. It conducts Project MLPL, a criminal endeavor with unclear objectives involving melting the polar ice caps and stealing seeds from seed vaults.
It operates the ship TRANSP and a fleet of 32 ice melters (MELTR1 through MELTR33, excluding the tragically lost MELTR3). Felicity's diary contains a description of MELTR19.
Emtanon Ltd is a British corporation founded in 1975, headquartered in Gibraltar. Its website describes it as The World's Leading Logistics Solutions Provider. Emtanon secures contracts with both government and private entities to help reach WORM's goals. The upper management are basically yes men of Dr. Jay, who holds no public-facing positions in the company himself.
Their technology is perpetually stuck in the 1980s, and consists of in-house CPU architectures, dial-up telephone systems, and bulky text-only terminals, much to the astonishment of their new employees.
bullshit paramilitary mercenary organization which is basically an extension of emtanon

I AM THE MARINE ORG.
—Dr. Jay Marvin Blackweather
Marine Org is the paramilitary subsidiary of Emtanon. Its super elite Shadow Team is responsible for tracking down, kidnapping, and imprisoning the members of the counter operation (us!), and missions like buying all types of sprinklers at Home Depot. It has a kangaroo court to convict the counter-operatives of offenses like “cracking one-time pad codes”, “accessing telephone systems”, and “accessing data systems”.
It operates a fleet of at least eight vessels: MO1 through MO5, FACILITY (their prison for counter-operatives), SHADOW, and WHISPER.
In August 2023, in hopes of reaching a new demographic of recruits, the Marine Org created a website and a YouTube channel.
